Bonjour, et bienvenue! I am Véronique Liebmann, Founder and Head of School at the French American School of Minneapolis. I am a native of Annecy, located in the beautiful French Alps. I moved to Minneapolis in 1993, when my son was only nine months old. Raising a young child developed my keen interest in early childhood education. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Administration. I am also certified as an Early Childhood Montessori teacher by the American Montessori Society. In 1996, convinced that I could benefit the community by teaching in my native language, I introduced a French immersion program for preschoolers at Sunny Hollow Montessori in Saint Paul. I founded the French American School of Minneapolis in 1998, combining the Montessori approach and the reputable French education approach. I am passionate about early childhood education and language acquisition. Young children are like little sponges, and they naturally absorb a language when exposed to that language in a full immersion setting. Children and students are the sunshine of my life, and from my life experience, the most rewarding people to be around. I share my passion with a very unique community of staff, children and parents here at the French American School of Minneapolis.
